YFR (Youth Fellowship Rally) is an event run every 4 years by the Churches of God (aka “the Fellowship”).
It was first held at Kinmel Hall, Wales in 1992, then again in 1996, moving to Nottingham Uni in 2000 and Cefn Lea, Wales in 2004, 2008 and 2012.
The event is open to anyone in or around the Churches of God to celebrate our worldwide community, get great teaching, participate in wonderful praise times and meet friends old and new.
The concept of a YFR started from a small group conversation at Mount Forest Camp, Ontario, Canada one summer in the late 1980’s. That group wanted to motivate, inspire and encourage the youth in the Churches of God to realize that they are a part of something bigger than their own church or region of churches – a united and world-wide thing, with its roots clearly in the New Testament.
The first YFR in 1992 marked the 100th anniversary of the re-establishment of Churches of God. What was then thought as a one-off is now looking forward to its 7th event, bringing together young and old from around the world.
It is the forerunner of many national events like Cefn Lea, Project 242, Pioneer, Eklektos, Apex and others. Join us in June 2016 to celebrate 20 years of YFR!
